Print Media: The printer prints on a variety of print media including Photo Quality coated paper (most popular), Vinyl Banner paper and Studio Canvas. We use quality outdoor UV inks (pigment-based) for enhanced lightfastness. We usually use 42” wide media roll (up to 100’ in length) for printing. We can also print on custom type and size of media, provided it not more than 42” wide (any length) and is compatible with the printer.

Staff support: The IS lab has dedicated staff to assist you in printing. While walk-ins are welcome between 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, we encourage you to call us in advance and fix an appointment for printing. We help you with checking your file for size, margins, fonts and layout. We shall inform you about any expected problems with printing and suggest ways to fix them. We don’t print any test prints, however, we can generate a fairly accurate preview of you poster/banner before printing.

If you bring your file(s) to the IS Lab in person, be prepared to spend 5-15 minutes with us to check your file thoroughly before we send it to the print queue.

The things that the IS lab staff can not do for you are:
- Create a poster/banner for you
- Make major corrections to the contents of you poster /banner
- Trim or mount you poster/banner.
