Inserting ASU logo in your poster

Web graphics are usually low resolution (72-96 ppi, which is not good enough for printing). Therefore grabbing a logo from an ASU web site and using it in your poster/ banner is not a very good idea.

ASU’s Graphic Download Library provides different kinds of official ASU Logos in the EPS ( encapsulated post script) file format, which is a high resolution vector graphic format. All These logo files can be downloaded in a zipped package and can be opened in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator

Downloading and Opening:

Go to ASU’s Graphic Download Library site and click on the Print Graphics Link.

Follow the instructions on the following page to download the zip file containing the logos.

After extracting all the logo files in a folder on your computer, select a logo file to open and use Illustrator or Photoshop to open it.

Resizing:

In Illustrator you will find all the graphic elements in the logo grouped together. You can select the graphic by clicking on it, hold the shift key (or the apple key if using a Mac) and drag the corner to scale the graphic.

In Photoshop, you can resize the logo by changing the Image size
(Image > Image size…)

Creating a poster in PowerPoint?

You would still need to open the EPS file in Illustrator or Photoshop and then copy and paste the contents to the PowerPoint file.

To resize the logo, on the Format menu, click Picture, and then click the Size tab. Or, select the graphic by clicking on it, hold the shift key (or the apple key if using a Mac) and drag the corner to resize the graphic.
